ALVA, Okla  - The Northwestern Oklahoma State softball team dropped two tough fought games to  Southeastern on Saturday afternoon.

Northwestern got things going early in game one, plating a run in the second inning on a Raelynn Sandlin sac bunt to take a 1-0 lead. Northwestern answered back in quick fashion, adding a run in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead.

The Rangers found themselves trailing again in the top of the fifth after a Savage Storm base hit scored two runners. Northwestern would once again answer back and retake the lead in the bottom of the inning on a Savannah Duran rbi double making it 4-3.

The game was tied up again in the top of the sixth after a Savage Storm sacrifice fly, Northwestern jumped back in front in the bottom of the sixth after an rbi single by Taygan Graham. The Savage Storm put up five runs in the top of the seventh inning and held Northwestern scoreless to take game one of the day.

Game two was a pitchers duel as neither pitcher allowed many opportunities for either side. The scoring came in the third inning as Southeastern scored two, one on a sacrifice fly and the other with an rbi single.
