RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball team will play as the No. 6 seed in this week's Great American Conference tournament at Babe Ruth Field at Majestic Park in Hot Springs, Ark.
Northwestern will take on Harding in the opening round on Thursday at 8 p.m., and will play either No. 2 Arkansas Tech or No. 7 Ouachita Baptist on Friday. With a win, the Rangers would play the winner of the contest between the Tigers and Wonder Boys at 8 p.m., while a loss would put the Rangers up against the loser of that game at 1 p.m. If the Rangers win their side of the bracket, they will play in the championship series from May 8 through May 10, hosted by the highest remaining seed.
The Bisons won all three games against the Rangers earlier this season, and have won eight straight over Northwestern, with the last Ranger win coming on March 23, 2024. The Rangers lost two of the games against the Bisons by one run, 4-3 and 2-1, while dropping the final game of the series, 12-4.
