Sandoval Named Pitcher of the Year

ALVA, Okla. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball team took home multiple awards during for the season, including Logan Sandoval winning the Great American Conference pitcher of the year.

Sandoval leads the GAC in wins and innings pitched with eight wins through 81.1 innings on the season, and is second in the GAC in ERA at 3.21. He has thrown five complete games on the season, placing him in the top three in all of Division II while striking out 61 batters on the season, putting him in the top five in the GAC and earning a spot on the All-GAC First Team.

Sandoval was not the only Ranger to earn accolades, as Will Kates, Ryan McClaskey, and Alex Dabrowski received All-GAC Honorable Mention honors, while Dabrowski also earned a spot on the GAC All-Defensive Team.

The Rangers also took home multiple academic awards, as 18 different Rangers were named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll.

The Rangers will take on Harding tomorrow in the opening round of the GAC tournament at 8 p.m. at Majestic Park in Hot Springs, Ark.
