Rangers Defeat Cardinals on the Road

LIBERTY, Mo. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer team defeated William Jewell, 1-0, Wednesday morning. The win moves the Rangers to 2-0-1 on the season.

The game got off to a slow start, with the Rangers and Cardinals combining for two shots in the first 30 minutes of the game. Northwestern's offense started to pick up, with Cambell Tabor and Emerson Curd getting shots on goal in the final 15 minutes of the half.

In the second half, the Ranger offense continued to create scoring opportunities, with Tabor smashing the ball in the top right corner to give Northwestern a 1-0 lead.

Northwestern outshot the Cardinals, 10-8, including an 8-4 advantage for shots on goal. Tabor led the Rangers in shots with four, as well as shots on goal with three.

The Rangers will be back in action on Sept. 5, when they take on Fort Hays State at the Alva Recreation Complex at 5 p.m.
