ANDOVER, Kan.- The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's golf team competed at the Newman/MIAA Invite on Sept. 21-22. Amanda Lane led the team to a 14th place finish. 

Lane shot an 83 on day one and bounded back on day two shooting a new personal best of 73 for a combined total of 14 over par. Veronica Rodriguez followed with even scores of 79 on both days. Rodriguez totaled 16 over par. Heather Hunkele and Olivia Platow tied in 3rd on the team each totaling 20 over. Hunkele shot 78-84 while Platow shot evenly at 81-81. Kelsey Hoy-Pollard shot for an 85 on day one and rebounded for an 81 on the second day. The team finished in 14th place overall, defeating Newman University by two strokes. 

The Rangers return to action in Weatherford on Oct. 1 as they battle Southwestern Oklahoma State in the Perkins Cup.
