Northwestern Downed By Golden Suns on the Road

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Northwestern Oklahoma State was defeated by Great American Conference foe Arkansas Tech University Saturday afternoon on the road by a final score of 90-48.


Individual Leaders
  • Offensively the black-and-red was led by both Ashley Pride and Jaylan Robinson who each totaled 12 points in the contest. The tandem combined for 9-16 shooting from the field on the day as well.
  • Kamera Bozeman ended the match-up with a solid stat line of nine points, two rebounds, and two assists. Bozeman would go a perfect 5-5 shooting from the free throw line during the afternoon also.
  • Niki Yu put in solid work on the defensive side of the ball as she led the Rangers in total rebounds with five.
     
Game Changer
  • The opening half of play was a struggle for the Rangers as they saw themselves down big early at the half, 43-25 to the Golden Suns of ATU. 
  • Northwestern could not keep up with Arkansas Tech's hot shooting in the second half unfortunately either, as ATU ultimately was able to close out the contest by a final score of 90-48.
  • The Golden Suns shot 57% (35-61) from the field in the game which certainly aided to their overall success in the match-up.

  • Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Basketball will return home next week as they face off against GAC opponent Southern Arkansas University, Thursday Feb. 4 with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse.
