Offensively for the Rangers they were led by senior Darrian Dempsey who scored a career high 30 points today as he went 9-13 from the field and was able to go 4-4 from three-point range. Dempsey added three rebounds and two steals to his stat line as well. Three other Rangers scored in double figures as well as Laakeem Henderson andT'aries Taylor posted 11 points and Adrian Motley would finish the day with 10. Henderson would also lead the black-and-red in rebounding this afternoon as he would be able to bring down seven total boards. Northwestern would manage the second half much like the first early on as they would be able to hold a solid lead over the Reddies midway through with a score of 67-57. Over a span of three minutes Henderson State was able to put together a 12-1 run which would give them the lead at 71-70 with just over four minutes left in regulation. The Rangers would be able to recapture the lead after two clutch free-throws by Dempsey which would give the black-and-red the momentum they needed to seal the game off for the 78-77 victory. The black-and-red would finish the second half shooting 16-27 (59%) from the field, along with 4-6 (67%) from three-point range which certainly was a key factor in taking down the Reddies this afternoon.

Individual Leaders
- Adrian Motley led the Rangers in all around scoring on the day as he finished with 24 points. Motley also played a team high 33 minutes and secured six rebounds in the process.
- Austin Klug finished the game with 13 points on a solid shooting night, going 5-for-7 from the field. He was also 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
- Laakeem Henderson contributed the next most points with 10 as he was 4-of-7 from the floor.
Game Changer- After a close first half, the Tigers went on a huge run midway through the second half, going up by 14.
- The Rangers made a sizeable comeback, starting at the 7:37 mark, going on a 6-0 run over a span of two minutes, but that was all the home team could muster, as the Tigers closed it out on a 13-2 run.
