Rangers Get Win in Claremore

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Basketball held on against the Hillcats of Rogers State University to get the 57-54 non-conference win Monday evening to snap their previous losing streak. 


Individual Leaders
  • Ashley Pride led the Northwestern offensive attack on the night as she finished with 16 total points. Pride added one steal and one assist to her stat line as well. 
  • Relina Johnson tallied double digit points against the Hillcats with 13 points and added 3-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Johnson also recorded three blocks on the other side of the ball.
  • Kamera Bozeman notched another double-double with 10 total points and 11 rebounds. She added three blocks to aid the Ranger defensive effort in the win also. 
     
Game Changer
  • Northwestern was able to out shoot Rogers State on the night, not only from the field, but from three-point range as well. The black-and-red shot 37 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc in the victory on the road.
  • A key stat from this contest was the overall points off turnovers as the Rangers outscored the Hillcats 15-10 in the catagory.

  • Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Basketball will return to the court this Thursday as they face off against Great American Conference opponent Southern Nazarene on Feb. 11 with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse.
