ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball was ahead most of the game, but the final inning against Henderson State was the downfall as the home team scored two late runs to finish the game, 6-5.
At the Plate
The K Zone
- Pat Delano started on the mound for the Rangers and was responsible for four of the Reddie runs, all of which were earned. He struck out three in the process, while surrendering nine hits.
- Coming in for an out was Brad Drury, after which Kyle Renbarger came in for the final two outs of the eighth inning.
- Dakota Stanek and Brody Ausfahl were the final two pitchers of record with Stanek coming away with the unfortunate loss.
Game Changer
- Northwestern drew first blood in the first inning, going up 1-0 on a groundout by Bess, scoring Douglas from third.
- The Reddies tied it up in the bottom of the second, but the visitors had a two-run answer in the next inning, followed by another in the fourth to make it a 4-1 game.
- An RBI single by the Reddies brought it to 4-2 in the bottom of the third inning, but Northwestern put another run on the board in the fifth to make it a three-run ballgame.
- Three home runs by the host team knotted up the score at five in the ninth with the final run being scored on a flyout to right field.

- Northwestern and HSU will finish the series tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. to decide the series.
