ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball team will honor 11 seniors during this weekend's series against Ouachita Baptist.
The seniors that are to be honored at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon are:
Tyler Bernhardt, Watonga, Okla.;
Matthew Bickford, Braintree, Mass.;
Collin Fouts, Alva, Okla.;
Blake Jones, Salina, Kansas;
Cody Jones, Alva, Okla.;
Nathan Kane, Harrison, Ark.;
David Sanchez, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico;
Britten Shuck, Seiling, Okla.;
Jorin Van Amstel, Amsterdam, NL;
Nathan Weatherly, El Paso, Texas;
Walker Wharton, Ben Franklin, Texas.
The senior day festivities are set to take place before the Rangers take on Ouachita Baptist in doubleheader action. The Rangers will be looking to put together their second straight conference series victory after defeating Southern Nazarene last weekend two games to one.
Each Ranger will be recognized for their contributions to the Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball program throughout the weekend while the squad on the field will be looking to narrow the gap between themselves and the sixth and final playoff spot. Northwestern will look to take advantage of an Ouachita Baptist squad that is currently riding a 12 game losing streak and sits three games behind the Rangers in 11
th place in the league.
The series will get started on Friday evening with a nine inning game scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch and continue on with the previously mentioned double header action.
