Rehorn leads Northwestern at GAC Preview

OKLAHOMA CITY - Parker Rehorn of Northwestern Oklahoma State University men's golf team placed tied for 17th in the individual standings after last round of the Great American Conference Preview in Oklahoma City. The Rangers placed eighth overall in the team standings.

Rehorn paced the Black-and-Red turning in a 71-70-74—215, which is his best tournament overall score, beating his 224 he had last season at Rock Hurst on March 25-26. He recorded 14 birdies on the tournament and helped the Rangers to a team score of 303, for a three-round total of 295-303-303—883 on the 6,970-yard, par-72 course.

Ben Baker posted a 71-77-78—226 finishing tied for 37th, sinking par on 35 holes for the tournament. Joey Nix and Keenan Hofstad tied for 42nd place. Nix climbed five spots in the standing in the final round carding a 76-80-74—230, while Hofstad had a 77-76-77—230.

Northwestern's Colten Person finished with a 78-80-78—236 placing in a time for 49th to round out the team score.

Individuals competing for the Rangers were Tanner Griffith (83-77-76—236), Juan Gui Angarita (75-81-80—236), Ben Huxtable (77-78-83—238) and Julien Coulson (82-79-81—242).

Northwestern get back on the links on Sept. 16-17 in the 2019 Ranger Invite in Enid, Okla. held at Meadowlake Golf Course.
