Northwestern Cheer 2020-21 Tryouts Switched to Video Submission

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State University cheer team announced that due to the COVID-19 and all the uncertainty that comes with it. Ranger Cheer has decided to use video tryouts for the 2020-2021 season.

The Deadline for submissions is May 1st. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Kelsi via email, phone, or Facebook.

How to Submit Tryout Video:
Email all Content to kelsiclaflin@hotmail.com

If you do not hear back from Ranger Cheer within 24 hours, please call or text 580-747-8921 to make sure your email has been received.

Introduction:
Your Video Must Include:

State your Name, Current School/University, Cheer Background, and Why you want to be part of the NW Cheer Team

Jumps:

Toe Touch & Pike

Chant:

1 Chant

Dance: (Girls-Only)

1 Dance (Must be at least 3 Eight Counts long)

Fight Song:

Ride Rangers Ride (Can be found on our website or at the link below)
Fight Song

Stunts:

Minimum 2 Extended Stunts (Flyer must show 2 Body Positions; Bases/Backspots must show 2 ways to get to an extension-Half up, Full up, Toss Extension, etc.)

Tumbling:

Minimum Standing Back Handspring and/or Round Off Back Handspring (Preferred, Not Required)

Also, Submit:

Current Transcript and Include your Cell Phone Number in the Email
