Great American Conference 2021-22 Women's Basketball Preseason Poll

Alva, Okla.- The Great American Conference released their annual preseason coaches poll Thursday morning, with the 2021-22 season right around the corner.

In the 2021-22 preseason poll, Northwestern came in eleventh on the poll after tallying a total of 28 points in this year's poll. The Rangers sit right in front of Arkansas- Monticello and are behind Southern Arkansas with 40 points.

Southwestern Oklahoma State was picked first by the conference coaches, with 111 points receiving five of the 12 first-place votes in this year's poll. Arkansas Tech finishes second following, earning three first-place votes along with 108 points from the coaches. Southern Nazarene tied Arkansas Tech with three first-place votes but finished with 101 points to round out the top three.

Southeastern Oklahoma State picked up the final first-place vote from the coaches for a total of 99 points, followed by Harding University picking up 83 votes to complete the top five in the preseason poll.

Henderson State, East Central, and Ouachita Baptist were the following three teams respectively for sixth, seventh, and eighth. The Reddies earned 72 points, followed by the Tigers of East Central with 54 and the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist with 44.

Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Arkansas tied for ninth with 40 points each, followed by Northwestern and Arkansas Monticello.

The Lady Rangers will open their season on November 12 and the 13th as a part of the MIAA/ GAC Challenge against Central Oklahoma and Northeastern Oklahoma State. Conference games will open on December 2 against Oklahoma Baptist University.
