ALVA OKLA- The Lady Rangers will return to play Saturday afternoon at 1:00PM traveling to Henderson State to close out the season series against the Reddies. Northwestern will look to make it three straight wins as they play in Arkadelphia.
Northwestern (13-9 overall and 9-7 GAC) is fifth in the Great American Conference after winning two straight games. This is the second meeting between the two teams after Northwestern took the first meeting 84-78.
Rangers coming off a win holding Ouachita to 48 points in which the Lady Ranger defense continues to play well. Northwestern is holding their opponents to 37.1% from the field which is ranked second in the conference. The Lady Rangers allow 62.7 points per game, also ranking second in the conference. Northwestern forces 16 turnovers a game ranking sixth in the conference. The Rangers average the fifth most steals in the conference at 9.3 per game.
Bailey Brown and Carly Craig lead the team in steals on the season with 31 each with Josena Frame having 28 on the year. Brown leads the team with 10 blocks on the season as Camille Thomas has seven.
Northwestern's offense has been led by Bailey Brown averaging 18.5 points per game on 52% shooting from the field and 41% from behind the arc. Brown is bringing down 8.3 rebounds a game as well. Second in scoring is Scout Frame at 16.2 points a game on 44.2% shooting. Kinsey Neiderer leads the team in made three pointers at 44 on the season at 36% from behind the arc.
As a team the Rangers shoot 42% from the field which ranks fourth in the GAC on the season and sixth in three point percentage on the season. Northwestern is second in the conference in free throw percentage as the Lady Rangers keep taking advantage of the opportunities after shooting over 90% from the foul line last game vs Ouachita.
Scouting the Reddies:
Henderson State (13-10 overall and 8-9 GAC) come into the game losing their last two games against Ouachita Baptist and Southwestern Oklahoma State. Overall the Reddies are 8-3 at home.
The Reddies come into the Saturday matchup second in the conference in FG% at 43.1 per game overall as a team. Henderson State scores 78.9 points per game, good for third in the conference overall.
Ashley Farrar leads the team with 17.3 points per game, one of four double figure scorers. She is followed by teammates Gracie Raby, Karrington Whaley, and Lani Snowden each averaging just over 10 points per game. Whaley leads the team shooting 64.3% on the season.
Defensively Whaley leads the team with 40 blocks on the season which ranks third in the conference overall. The Reddies allow 72.4 points per game, ranking ninth in the GAC. They force the eight most turnovers defensively at 15 per game.

The Lady Rangers won a close six point game against the Reddies 84-78 in Alva behind 28 points and nine rebounds from S.Frame and a 23 point performance from Bailey Brown. Josena Frame was the third Lady Ranger in double figures that day.
