OKLAHOMA CITY - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf opened their 2022 Fall Season Monday and Tuesday competing in the GAC Preview invitational at Lake Hefner Golf Club Oklahoma City. The Rangers had eleven total compete in the GAC Preview with two teams of five and one individual.
The Rangers finished seventh and ninth in the GAC preview. Cade Seymour led the Rangers as he tied for 14th in the invitational. He shot a 74 in the opening round of three before shooting 70 in the final two rounds to finish the tournament shooting two under par.
Ryder Heuston tied for nineteenth in the tournament after leading the Rangers in the opening round with a 71 before finishing the opening day with a 74. He closed the tournament out with a 71 in round three to shoot even for the invitational.
Keenan Hofstad shot a 73-73 in the first two rounds to start the GAC preview before closing out with a 77 in round three to finish tied for 30th in the tournament.
The next highest Ranger to finish was Max Garza tied for 32nd after shooting a 75 in the opening round before improving, knocking off three shots for a 73 in round two and finishing the preview with a 76.
Zac Caldwell had his best round in the final round of the tournament shooting back-to-back 76 before closing the preview out with a 73 for 34th place overall.
Matthew Voth shot 76 in both rounds on day one before finishing with a 75 in round three for his best round of the tournament as he tied for 37th place in the GAC preview.
The next Ranger to finish was Logan Johnson tied for 41st following his best round on round two. After opening the tournament with 77 he cut down his score to 75 before finishing with a 79 on round three.
Jordan Giannini improved his score by 13 shots after round one. He opened with an 87 before knocking his score down to 74-74 in the final two rounds finishing in 48th. Joey Nix was 51st having his best round in the final round as well after shooting a 80-84-79. TJ Kim was 53rd in the preview shooting an 82-82 to open the first day before shooting an 85.
Northwestern Men's Golf will return to action on October 3rd and 4th as the team travels to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the Battle for the Belt hosted by Henderson State.
