Franklin Wins Second Runner of the Week This Season

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Cross Country completed their third meet of the 2023 season last week at the Muthama-Rogers Meet hosted by Bethel College. The Rangers placed second overall in the meet along with Franklin placing second. 

Franklin following the meet has been rewarded with GAC runner of the week for his performance in the Muthama-Rogers meet. Franklin led the Rangers overall in the meet helping the team place second. The Nevada native finished the 8k setting with a final time of 25:19.93 falling two seconds behind his previous record he set in the first meet.

This is Franklin's second time winning runner of the week this season after taking this reward in week two of the season. Franklin has now earned GAC runner of the week twice in three weeks.

Northwestern will be in action this week on Friday traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas for a meet hosted by the University of Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Festival.
