ANDOVER, KANSAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf concluded the Newman Fall Invite on Tuesday afternoon in Andover, Kansas at the Terradyne Country Club. The Rangers placed sixth overall after a total of 613 (296 R1, 317 R2).

Overall Fort Hays State placed first overall in the tournament with a total of 595, followed by Newman with a total of 596, and Northeastern State at 598 to round out the top three.

Matti Zerwin was the leading Ranger after a record setting day in round two for Northwestern. Zerwin set the Ranger Men's Golf program's new low round record with a 66. Zerwin in round two had seven birdies, one eagle and six pars in the round to earn his 66 and -5 total. Zerwin overall finished tied for first with a 139 after a 73 in round one following with a 66 in round two before finishing third after the playoff. 

Max Courange finished tied for 12th in the tournament after having a total of 150 after a round one of 71 followed by a 79 in round two. Courange had 20 pars in the invite along with five birdies. 

Davan Smith was next for Northwestern after a 78 in round one followed by an 83 in round two for a total of 161 that tied him 38th overall in the tournament. Smith through the invite had 16 pars, while adding four birdies. 

Pierce Geminden tied 42 in the tournament with a 74 in round one followed by an 89 in the second round for a total of 163. Geminden completed the invite with 13 pars and five birdies. 

Holmes was the individual for the Rangers as Caden Holmes placed tied for 10th overall with a total of 149 after a round one score of 73 before a 76 in round two. Holmes had 22 pars through the invite, along with four birdies in the tournament. 

The Rangers will have the next week off before traveling to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the Tulsa Cup at the Club at Forest Ridge Golf Course hosted by Rogers State.
