Simpson Earns GAC Player of the Week

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State forward Faith Simpson has earned her sixth conference player of the week of the season the Great American Conference announced Monday afternoon. Northwestern finished the week 2-0 after wins over #5 Harding and Arkansa Tech.

Faith Simpson was the leading scorer in both games this week averaging a double-double between the two games. Simpson finished the week averaging 17.5 points and 10 rebounds between the two games, while also adding three steals per game and one block.

The first game of the week Simpson helped lead the Lady Rangers too a victory over #5 ranked Harding. Northwestern won 61-56 after Simpson finished with her seventh double-double of the season finishing with 20 points in the game will bringing down 12 rebounds. She got it done on the defensive side of the floor as well having a block and four steals in the win.

On Saturday Simpson finished with 15 points and eight rebounds while having two steals in the win over Arkansas Tech all coming in the second half. This marked the Lady Rangers 16th straight win at home dating back to last season. 

Lady Rangers will be home for the final time this season Thursday against Southern Nazarene before closing out the regular season against Southeastern Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon.
