JOPLIN, MISSOURI - The Ranger's Men's Cross Country team traveled to Joplin Missouri on Friday evening for the Missouri Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern.
The Rangers placed sixth overall out of 24 schools competing in the meet. The overall win was Butler Community College.Â
Northwestern's first two finishers ran back to back as James Fincher was first to finish with a time of 27:41.89 for 38th in the meet. Placing 39th in the meet was Riley Herndon running a 27:42.71 for the meet.Â
Edward Robledo-Gonzalez was next for Northwestern running the meet in 27:44.94 placing 41st in the Missouri Southern Stampede. Alan Lares was 49th in the meet after running a 27:59.16 Friday evening.Â
Next for the Rangers in 51st was Salat Ibrahim running a time of 28:01.62 in the 8K meet. Zachary Cox ran a 28:19.89 placing 58th overall in the meet.Â
Muneer Suied ran the meet in 28:28.84 that placed him in 61st overall for the Missouri Southern Stampede. In 67th overall for the Rangers was Edgar Reyes with a time of 28:38.29.Â
Andrew Scott placed 84th in the meet with a time of 29:14.69, as Basheer Suied was next for the Rangers with a time of 29:27.78 with a 93rd place finish. Aaron Medrano was 99th overall after running the meet with a time of 29:41.40 Friday.Â
Northwestern's final runner was Collins Yego running 109th in the meet with a time of 30:05.97.
The Rangers will travel back to Missouri in a week at the Gans Creek meet hosted by the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri on September 27th.Â
