BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State men's golf team finished 14th at the Tulsa Cup on Tuesday.
Central Missouri won the tournament by shooting 12 under par as a team, while Jose Arzu of Harding won the individual tournament with rounds of 69, 68, and 71.
Matti Zerwin led the Rangers with a hot start in the opening round, as he knocked in four birdies and finished with 70 to finish two under par. In the second round, Zerwin chipped four more birdies to finish with 74, and put up 77 in the final round.
Zac Farmer got off to a slow start with 81 in the first round, but quickly rebounded with 71 in the second round and five birdies in the final round to get 71 again.
Max Courange had a similar path as Farmer, as he put up 78 in the first round before shooting right at par for 72 in round two. In the third round, Courange got three birdies to finish with 74.
Pierce Geminden followed the trend of the second round rebound with rounds of 79, 74, and 76, while
Chris Xiao rounded out the Rangers with 79 in the opening round before getting five birdies in round two to finish with 70. In the final round, Xiao shot 82.
