ALVA, Okla. – The Great American Conference released the annual 2026 preseason coaches' poll, voted on by the conference coaches. The Northwestern Rangers enter the year picked fifth.
Oklahoma Baptist finished first in the poll with 77 points and six first place votes with Harding coming in second with 76 points and four first place votes. Ouachita Baptist came in third with 66 points, and Southern Arkansas received 53 points for the fourth spot.
Northwestern came in fifth with 42 points, with Southeastern at sixth with 41 points. Southern Nazarene and Arkansas Tech rounded out the top eight, with Southern Nazarene placing seventh with 37 points and Arkansas Tech receiving 21 points for the eighth spot. Southwestern finished in ninth with 20 points, and East Central finished in 10
th with 17 points.
The Rangers will be in action on March 27, as they travel to Shawnee for the OBU All-Comers Meet hosted by Oklahoma Baptist.
