ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Northwestern Oklahoma State and Henderson State took the field for two games, Saturday with the first going to the Reddies in 8-4 fashion.
At The Plate
The K Zone
- Matt Bickford was the game one starter, but he struggled out of the gate only going one full inning before being replaced by Brody Ausfahl after giving up six runs in the outing.
- Ausfahl only gave up one run on five hits through his four innings of work.
- Zach Postoak, Brad Drury and Kyle Renbarger closed out the last two frames.
Game Changer
- Throughout the first three innings, it was all Reddies as they put a seven-spot on the Rangers, but in the sixth the visitors made some noise.
- The first three Ranger batters reached base after which two runs were brought in on an RBI single by Benn, followed by another RBI single by Montano that brought in Krokroskia and Benn to make it 7-4. That would be all Northwestern could muster however, ending the game in 8-4 defeat.

Game Changer
- During the first inning, the Reddies hit a two-run homer to make it 2-0 early, but neither team scored another run until the final inning where Northwestern threatened, getting the first three men aboard, but were only able to score one run and went down in a tough 2-1 battle.
