Northwestern Takes Second Place at Ranger Invite

ENID, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Golf hosted the annual Ranger Invite on Monday and Tuesday. The Rangers placed second overall in the tournament with three Rangers placing in the top 10 and four total in the top 15 of the tournament. In day one the team shot a 357 with a 25 shot improvement in day two with 332 for a total of 689 for the second place finish.

Samantha Friday led the Rangers placing third in the tournament with a total score of 164 in the invitational. She shot and 87 on day one before improving on 10 shots knocking her day two score to 77 earning the third place finish. Friday had three birdies on Tuesday afternoon. Alexis Webb was second for the Rangers seventh overall in the invitational shooting a 172 total. Webb shot an 88 on day before improving in round two with an 84 following one birdie.

Angela Egger was third on the Rangers with a ninth place overall finish for the tournament after shooting a 174. Egger also improved in round two knocking off six shots following a 90 in round one before improving to an 84 on the second day. Madison Masch placed 13th in the tournament with a score of 179 after a 92 in the opening day Masch would shoot an 87 with a five shot improvement.

Madison Kerr was the Rangers individual finishing with a 181 tied for 16th place in the tournament after a 91 in day one before improving to a 90 on the second round.

The final results finished with Barton County winning with a score of 330-318-648, Northwestern 357-332-689, Southwestern College 383- 364-747, Missouri Valley College 420-432-852 and Coffeyville 442-454-896.

 
This concludes the 2022 Fall portion of the Women's Golf team schedule before the spring schedule opens next semester.
