Rangers Take On Southern Nazarene Saturday Afternoon

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State welcomes Southern Nazarene to Percefull Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon for a Great American Conference matchup. The Rangers enter play with a 3-2 overall record, while 0-2 in Great American Conference play, while the Crimson Storm enter 4-2 overall record and 2-0 in conference play.
 

The Rangers come into Saturday's game on a two game losing streak after dropping the opening two games of GAC play to East Central and Oklahoma Baptist by scores of 75-71, along with 70-62 respectively. 
 

Malik Parsons leads the team through the first two conference games averaging 18 points per game along with five rebounds a game. Larry White is not far off averaging 17.5 points per conference game while bringing down 5.5 rebounds per game. Shavaul Butters leads the team in rebounding with nine per game while averaging seven points. Parsons and Brian Free are tied with 2.5 assists per game. 
 

Defensively for Northwestern's Larry White has a team high seven steals and is second on the team with four blocks. Butters has a team high of five blocks while Chance Love has one. 
 

Southern Nazarene comes in on a two game winning streak following wins over Southeastern, and East Central to open conference play. 
 

The Crimson Storm are coached by Adam Bohac who is in his 16th season with Southern Nazarene accumulating a record of 289-143 over those seasons.
 

The Crimson Storm have been led by Adokiye Iyaye averaging 15.7 points per game followed by Tyler Mcghie and Javon Jackson as the other two double figure scorers. Nick Davis has been the leading rebounder with eight per game as Xavier Bryant leads the team with 27 assists. 
 

The Rangers enter play Saturday against the Crimson Storm looking to continue their two game win streak over SNU following a season sweep last season 88-63 and 63-60. Overall Southern Nazarene leads the overall series 25-12 dating back to 2006.
 

The game is set for around a 3:00 PM tip-off Saturday afternoon December 10th in Percefull Fieldhouse following the conclusion of the Lady Rangers game.
