2022 Volleyball Schedule Finalized

Alva, Oklahoma - Northwestern Oklahoma State volleyball's 2022 season schedule has been finalized for the fall. The schedule will feature 31 matches in total with 16 conference and 15 non-conference. 
 

The Red-and-Black will be led by first year head coach Jon Bingesser after being hired in April from Highland Community College. The schedule will include 16 regular season conference games before the Great American Conference tournament. 
 

Northwestern will open the season in Joplin, Missouri for a two day beginning of the season tournament hosted by Missouri Southern. This opening season tournament will feature four games including William Jewell College, Missouri Southern, Truman State and Newman University on August 26th through August 27th. 
 

The opening tournament will lead into week two for the second of the opening three tournaments traveling to Denton, Texas for a four game stretch in two days. The Texas Woman's Tournament will include Eastern New Mexico, Midwestern State, Texas Woman's, and Fort Hays State from September 2nd through September 3rd. 
 

After a midweek non-conference match against Bethel College the Rangers will travel to Jackson, Tennessee for the final tournament this one hosted by Union University. This will be a three match tournament with West Virginia State, Christian Brothers, and Union. 
 

The conference opener / home opener for Northwestern is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13th playing host to Southern Nazarene for the first of two straight home matches. The second will be East Central at 2:00 PM in Percefull Fieldhouse. 
 

Northwestern is then scheduled for four straight matches on the road, three being Great American Conference matches including Southeastern Oklahoma State (Durant), Southwestern Oklahoma State (Weatherford), and Oklahoma Baptist (Shawnee). The final match of the road trip is at Cameron University in Lawton Oklahoma. 
 

Following the road trip the Rangers return home for a three game home stand hosting Southern Arkansas, Arkansas Monticello and non-conference opponent Oklahoma Christian.
 

The Red-and-Black then will travel to Arkansas for two games one in Searcy against Harding before traveling to Russellville for a Friday evening match against Arkansas Tech. This is before four straight home games, three of them in conference, which include Henderson State, Ouachita Baptist, and Southeastern before closing the day with Southwestern College. 
 

With four games remaining the Rangers will play two of those at home and two on the road,starting in Bethany against Southern Nazarene before coming home against Oklahoma Baptist on the 28th of October. The calendar will turn to November for the final two games one at home versus Southwestern before the final regular season match against East Central in Ada. 
 

The conference tournament will start on November 10th, as the top eight teams in the conference will qualify for postseason play.
