Women's Cross Country Team Earns All-Academic Team Honors

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The  U.S Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association announced their All Academic teams. Northwestern Oklahoma State women's cross country earned this recognition finishing with a cumulative G.P.A of 3.28 during the 2022 season. 

In total there were 146 different programs that earned All-Academic teams for the performance in the classroom.  The highest overall G.P.A was from Missouri Southern. 

"The award exemplifies the work the athletes and staff put in throughout the academic year. The award demonstrates the standard set at Northwestern and the community of Alva, Thank you to all the administration, faculty and staff for your contributions. It is a community effort" stated head coach Jill Lancaster.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale including the most recent grading period and compile a score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
