ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The Ranger Men's Basketball team is set to tip-off at 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon following the Lady Rangers game. Northwestern will host Arkansas Monticello to finish the week. 
Northwestern enters play with a 4-5 overall record and a 0-5 Great American Conference mark while Arkansas Monticello carries a record of 5-6 overall with a 1-4 conference mark. 
The series dates back to 2012 when it started as the Rangers trail the series history 9-10 overall. Northwestern comes in winning the last two after sweeping last season's series with two double digit victories. Overall the Rangers are 4-6 in the last 10 against the Weevils.
On Thursday night, the Rangers last time out, Northwestern was led by Malik Parsons and Brian Free leading the team with 23 and 21 points on the evening in the loss to the Muleriders. Shavaul Butters finished with 15 rebounds. 
Overall this season Northwestern has been led by Parsons averaging 21.9 points per game along with Brian Free and Larry White in double figures with 14.1 and 10.2 on the season. Parsons and Free also lead the team in assists with 35 and 28 on the season running the Northwestern offense. 
Shavaul Butters has been the force on the Ranger defense with 19 blocks through the first nine games of the season along with four steals. Larry White has 14 blocks along with 13 steals this season. Parsons leads the team with 15 steals. Butters is the team leading rebounder with 8.7 boards per game. 
Arkansas Monticello: 
The Weevils have lost two straight coming into Saturday after their Thursday night loss to Southwestern 78-65. In the loss the Weevils were led by Cole Anderson with 17 points followed by Timur Krupalija with 12 points. Arkansas Monticelo comes in 1-2 on the road this season with both losses coming in conference. 
Monticello is led by Edwin Louis averaging 12.9 points per game as one of five players averaging double figures. He is joined by Isaac Jackosn with 11.6, Josh Denton 10.8, Mario Fantina 10.7 and Timur Krupalija 10.1 on the year. Louis leads the team with 38 assists running the Weevil offense. 
Defensively, they are led by Louis with 13 steals on the season followed by Denton with 12. Krupalija is the leading blocker with 8 on the season. Jackson and Krupalija are tied at 5.5 blockers per game as both the team highs on the season.
