Rangers Conclude Season at Last Chance Meet

CANYON, TEXAS -  The Rangers following the Great American Conference meet traveled to West Texas A&M for the WT Last Chance Meet in Canyon Texas. Northwestern had two athletes compete in this meet as Debbie Olalere and Valerie Nzeakor.

"Debbie produced a mark that was better than her personal best going into the conference. Val had a good series of jumps just missing that next move up on the national list. We were thankful for the opportunity for these senior to represent the Ranger family one more time at a high level." state Jill Lancaster.

In the 100 Meter Dash Debbie Olalere competed for the Rangers finishing with a final time of 12.05 seconds. This placed her seventh in the event overall. This beat her personal best before the conference meet.

Valerie Nzeakor finished fourth in her event, the long jump, as she finished with a marking of 5.89meters. She currently sits 25th nationally in the long jump.

This last chance meet concluded the Ranger's 2023 Track and Field Season after placing fifth in the Great American Conference meet in the first weekend of May.
