LAWTON, OKLAHOMA - The Ranger's Women's Cross Country team traveled to Lawton, Oklahoma Friday to open their 2023 season. Northwestern placed fourth overall in the meet with a top 10 finisher in Cadence Long-Torres finishing seventh.
" The women competed well today, and showed that they have an outstanding amount of potential. Cadence Long Torres led the way finishing 7th overall with a time of 20:08 which is a huge PR from hgh school. Jasmin Garcia placed 11th overall" stated head coach Sterlin Broomfield
Cadence Long-Torres in her first meet with the Rangers placed seventh overall in the meet running a final time of 20:09.0 for her new personal best. Jasmin Garcia was second for the Rangers placing 11th in the meet with a final mark of 20:55.0.
Northwestern had two more finishers in the top 20 in Haley Combs and Gina Wilson. Combs ran in 19th at 21:47 placing just ahead of Wilson at 20th with a time of 21:50.0.Â
Seriah Vess finished the meet at 21:56.0 placing 21st overall in the meet. Following Vess was three more Rangers in the top 30. Starting with Karlee Trammell at 22:10.9 in 26th just in front of Reina Gonzales at 22:12.0.
Elizabeth Parades and Jaime Torres-Franco were 30th and 31st in the meet at 22:42.0 and 22:45.0.
