PITTSBURG, KANSAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Track and Field was in Pittsburg Kansas for their indoor meet Saturday. The Rangers had a successful weekend with three school records set, and 12 personal best during the meet.
The school records were Cadence Long-Torress in the 3000M run with a time of 11:25.48. THe 60M hurdles was set by Machala Hengen with a time of 9.21 and lastly the final school record was set by Tavonyia Lacy during the 400M dash with a time of 59.06.
The Rangers had one compete in the pole vault as Piper Gallagher finished with a mark of 2.60M placing 17th overall in the event.Â
Next was the 60M hurdles for the Rangers as Machala Hengen placed 20th overall for Northwestern with a time of 9.21.Â
Shackera Douglas led the way for the Rangers with a 12th place finish with a time of 7.78. Brianna Brantley was next for the Rangers in the 60M Dash placing 26th overall in the event at a time of 7.90. Diamond Hilton also placed right inside the top 30 finishing 29th in the event with a final time of 8.05.
In the 200 meter dash the Rangers were led by Tavonyia Lacy with a 29th place finish with a final time of 25.78. Lacy continued to find success leading the Rangers in the 400 meter dash as well placing 26th overall with a time of 59.06.
The 3000 meter run the Rangers were led by Cadence Long-Torres running with a time of 11:25.48 for 48th overall in the meet. The final meet was the distance medley placing 15th with a time of 13:57.60 between Asia Williams, Haley Combs, Jasmin Garcia, Cadence Long-Torres.Â
