LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's track finished their meet at Nebraska this past weekend. The Rangers finished with one indoor school record along with eight indoor personal bests.
The new school record was set by Sophia Kenyon in the weight throw. Eight personal best include Kenyon, Maryam Dianka, Darianne Thompson, Emmalee Osborn, Samantha Grimes, Shackera Douglas, Diamond Hilton, and Haley Combs.Â

"Our team was able to establish them self as a team. We are very proud as a whole who all made the cut into the meet. This environment brought out the best in our athletes. Not only did they compete well they were not intimidated by the competition. We are looking forward to what the spring season will bring." head coach Jill Lancaster stated.

In the 60m Douglas paced the Rangers with a top five finish in the event as Douglas ran a 7.76. Joined in the top 15 was Brianna Brantley with a time of 7.91. Darianne Thompson ran her season best in the event with a 8.02 for 17th.Â
Machala Hengen placed in the top 15 of the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.32 which was good for a top 15 finish in 12th place.Â
The 200m Douglas led the way with her personal best of 25.66 for a 12th place finish in the event. Followed by Diamond Hilton with a time of 26.19 which was her personal record finishing in 17th. Brianna Brantley placed in the top 20 of the event with a time of 26.31. Haley Combs ran a 27.52 in the event which was her new personal record.
The 400m the Rangers were led by Tavonyia Lacy running with a time of 59.47 placing her in the top 15 at 11th in the event.Â
Jasmin Garcia ran the 800m for the Rangers with a time of 2:40.85 placing 26th overall in the event.Â
The Rangers were led by two athletes in the long jump as Thompson finished with a marking of 4.88m placing sixth in the event joined by Maryam Dianka in the top 10 with a seventh place finish with a mark of 4.61m
In the shot put the Rangers had two individuals set new personal records as Emmalee Osborn finished with a mark of 11.37m placing ninth. Hannah Appleton had a top 10 finish as well with a 10.13m. Samantha Grimes set her new personal record with a mark of 9.51m for her new personal record.Â
Darianne Thompson and Maryam Dianka represented the Rangers in the triple jump with personal records. Thompson finished with a mark of 10.33 for 8th overall while Maryam Dianka placed ninth after her personal best of 10.20m
The Rangers school record in this meet came in the weight throw. Led by Sophia Kenyon with a mark of 14.44m led the way for Northwestern placing in the top five and setting the new school record. Kaylan Swindle, Braelynn Cunningham, and Temi Michaels each finished in the top 10 as well.Â
Northwestern had two teams run in the 4x400M relay placing fourth and seventh overall in the heat. The fourth place team ran a 4:06.50 which was run by Douglas, Hengen, Lacy and Lane. Engermann, Brantley, Combs, and Hilton ran the other team that placed seventh with a time of 4:41.11.
