Free Earns GAC Player of the Week

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Basketball player Brian Free earned Great American Conference Player of the Week for week 11 following a 2-0 week for the Rangers with wins over Southern Arkansas and Arkansas Monticello. 

Brian Free led the Rangers in scoring both games this week averaging 26 points per game on 53.6 percent shooting including 50% from three and 94 percent from the foul line. He averaged 4.5 assists and three rebounds per game as well. 

In the first game of the week Free played all 40 minutes helping the Rangers to a 77-72 victory over Southern Arkansas scoring 29 points while having three rebounds and three assists along with a steal in the win. 

On Saturday Free followed that game with a 23 point performance with six assists and three rebounds shooting 50% from three while helping the Rangers to a 81-63 victory over Arkansas Monticello. 

The Rangers will be on the road this week against Henderson State on Thursday before facing Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers will be home next on February 15th against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
