CRETE, NEBRASKA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Track and Field was in Crete Nebraska for the Fred Beile Classic hosted by Doane University. The Rangers had 34 season best, 25 personal best and three school records set at the meet. Tavonyia Lacy set the record in the 400, Machala Hengen in the 60M hurdles, and Hannah Appleton in the weight throw.
The first event, the 60M dash the Rangers had two athletes place in the top eight as Brianna Brantley and Diamond Hilton paced the Rangers. Brantley placed fourth overall with a final time of 7.91 in the event and Hilton finished 8th in the finals with a time of 8.13.Â
In the 200M dash the Rangers were paced by Diamond Hilton placing fourth overall in the event with a final time of 26.95 and was followed by teammate Brianna Brantley with a time of 26.97 which placed a final placing of fifth.Â
Tavonyia Lacy set the new school record in the next event which was the 400M Dash with a time of 1:00.26 which placed her second in the event. Lacy was one of four Rangers placing inside the top 10 of the event. She was joined by Renaja Engermann with a time of 1:01.84 placing fifth, followed by Shakira Lane in ninth and Shackera Douglas in 10th place for the event.Â
Kayhla Talavera was the Ranger runner in the 800M run placing 13th overall in the event with a final time of 3:08.76. The next event was the 1000M run as Harley Woody placed 11th in the event for the Rangers.
The mile run the Rangers had two runners inside the top 20 of the event as Harley Woody placed 17th overall with a time of 6:19.54 and was joined by Reina Gonzales in 18th place with a time of 6:20.40.
All three Rangers competing in the 3000 Meter Run placed within the top 20 led by Reina Gonzales finishing in 12th with a time of 12:48.78, followed by Elizabeth Dorado placing 14th overall and Jamie Torres-Franco in 16th.Â
The next event 60M hurdles Ranger Machala Hengen set the new school record in the event. Overall she placed seventh in the event with a final time of 9.39.
In the first field event Hannah Appleton led the way in the weight throw, setting the new school record with a throw of 13.42m which finished in 24th. The Rangers had two inside the top 25 as Emmalee Osborn was the other with a throw of 13.09m.
Next for the Rangers had two athletes place in the top 20 as Darianne Thompson led the way with a jump of 5.06M for sixth overall in the event. Maryam Dianka then jumped finishing with a best of 4.73M for 16th in the event.Â
Maryam Dianka represented the Rangers in the triple jump with a 10.05M for the event which placed her 14th overall.Â
The final event was the shot put as the Rangers had three with top 25 finishes as Chloe Grusing had a 10.78M finish, followed by Emmalee Osborn in 24th and 25th was Hannah Appleton.Â
