ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Track and Field had their first outdoor meet since 1996 as the program has made its return to Northwestern this past weekend. After a successful meet Northwestern freshman Trevor Montayne earned Track and Field athlete of the week.
Montayne was part of both relay teams for the Rangers. The 4x100 relay set a school record breaking a 28 year mark with a time of 42.08 seconds. Secondly, the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:22.26 breaking the record of 43 years.
Montayne ranks number two in the Great American Conference in the 200M event while also running fifth amongst freshman running a 21.35. Montayne ran a 10.84 in the 100M event.
Northwestern travels to Emporia, Kansas for the next meet on Thursday hosted by Emporia State.
