BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Golf team finished the Great American Conference Championships with a fifth place finish moving up two spots on the final day to move into the top five.
The Rangers posted round scores of 327-326-320 improving each round and day before finishing with a total of 973. Henderson State finished with a total of 916 to earn the top spot in the conference.
Romane Lacoste closed the tournament as the Rangers top finisher tying for second overall in the individual leader board. Lacoste had a tournament best of 36 pars, while adding four birdies. She had a best round of 75 coming in the second round of the tournament before finishing with a 228.
Second, for the Rangers was Agathe Lacoste having a low round of 76 in the three rounds coming in round three. She finished with a total of 240, after finishing with a team high seven birdies throughout the tournament and 23 pars.
Next for the Rangers was Tess Linden who tied for 34th in the tournament after a best round of 81 and a total of 249. Linden had 22 pars in the three rounds with a total of three birdies.
Addison Furtick placed 41st overall in the tournament after finishing with a 258 and having a best round of 84 coming on day three. Furtick had a total of 20 pars in the three rounds.
Amanda Lane was fifth, and placed 44th overall in the tournament with a best round score of 84 and a total of 265. Lane had one birdie along with 17 pars through the three rounds.
The fifth place finish for the Rangers is the best in school history at the GAC Championships. Romane Lacoste's tie for second place finish is the best finish by a Ranger individually in the tournament.
