TOPEKA, Kan. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's track and field team made the trip up to Topeka, Kansas to compete at Washburn's Alumni Invite.
Gabriella Hall started things off for the Rangers with a top 10 finish in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.41M.
Two Rangers rounded out the top 15 in the Weight Throw led by Mercedes Glover. Glover set a new school record with a mark of 15.30M. This was good enough for a sixth place finish. Mckayla Kuplicki had a strong outing as well earning an 11th place finish with a mark of 13.93M.
Harmonie Hughes competed in the Triple Jump and hit the NCAA D2 Provisional Standard for the event. Hughes finished third place with a jump of 11.84M.
Brianna Behrendt had a top 15 showing in the Shot Put. Behrendt threw for an 11.02M mark and earned herself a 14th place finish. Along with the Shot Put, Behrendt had a top 20 finish in the Weight Throw with a 12.61M mark.
Monique Cook earned a sixth place High Jump finish with a solid jump of 1.55M.
The Rangers had three finish in the top 10 of the 1 mile run. Ivy Washington led the way with a 5:39.29 for seventh. Cadence Long-Torres finished in ninth place with a 5:41.35, and Ava Washington finished 10th place with a time of 5:42.57.
Ava Washington followed up her mile performance with a third-place finish in the 800M with a 2:30.61.
The Rangers resume action on Jan. 24 when they take a trip to Columbia, Missouri for the Bob Teel Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri.
