SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Track & Field competed in Shawnee, Oklahoma for the weekend track meet hosted by Oklahoma Baptist. The Rangers had 30 personal records on the weekend while also breaking three school records in the meet.
Kareem Small earned first in the 100-meter, pacing Northwestern with one of three top 10 finishers in the event. Small led the way with a time of 10.32. Dwight Hamblin and Trevor Montanye each finished top 10 with a sixth and ninth place finish.
The 200-meter the Rangers were led by Mikell Hamilton-Thompson running a 22.43 for a 17th place finish and first for the Rangers.Â
Harrison Stapleton, placed in the top 10 of the 400 meters, was one of two Rangers. He finished fifth after a time of 49.5. Oshea Johnson was sixth with a time of 49.39.
Riley Herndon led the way in the 800m for the Rangers, placing fifth with a time of 1:57.86 in the event.Â
James Fincher set the new school record in the 5000m event with a time of 15:18.11 as he placed 13th overall in the event.Â
In the 3000m steeple, Muneer Suied led the way for the Rangers with a fourth-place finish, one of two top-five finishers. Edward Robledo Gonzalez placed fifth with a time of 10:35.21.Â
The high jump was led by Aiden Kimberlin with a second-place finish with a mark of 1.95m. Kaleb Woolery was second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.10m.
Trejon Crump led the Rangers in the long jump with a mark of 6.72m and a ninth-place finish joining the top 10.Â
Devin Blackwell led the way in the triple jump, placing first overall with a mark of 14.42m and breaking the school record in the event.Â
In the shot put Brock Bourgeois was the leader in the shot put with a mark of 13.67m. He led the way in discus throw with a mark of 41.01m and a fourth-place finish.Â
In the javelin throw, Ethan Burns led the way with a ninth-place finish with a mark of 41.33
The 4x400m relay team placed third overall in the event, setting the new school record for the relay. The relay team was Oshea Johnson, Trevor Montanye, Eric Collins, and Harrison Stapleton.
