SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Track & Field completed a successful meet in Shawnee, Oklahoma, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist.The Rangers had 22 personal best set, 15 season best, and two new school records. Ashley Low broke her school record set in the javelin from a week ago. Mariya Hamlin set the new school record in the high jump.
In the 100 meters Diamond Hilton led the way for the Rangers placing third overall in the event with a final time of 12.20. Her time ranks third in the conference and set her new personal best in the 100. Brianna Brantley was a top 10 finish with a time of 12.51. In the 100 Brianisha Rolling, Mariya Hamlin, and Maryam Dianka all had personal bests in the event.Â
Hilton led the way in the 200 meters for the Rangers with a final time of 25.43, placing in the top 10 with a sixth-place finish. Hilton now ranks 10th in the conference and set her new personal record for the event. The Rangers saw personal best in the 200 from Dianka, Green, Dates, and Kerchan.Â
In the 400-meter for the Rangers, Northwestern was led by Krissalynn Henderson who finished with a time of 1:00.11 and placed with an eighth-place finish.Â
Cadence Long-Torres finished with a time of 5:12.76, placing 12th overall in the event of the 1500 meters. Long-Torres placed 15th overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:34.86.
Northwestern had a personal record in the 100m hurdles, as Kaydence Bergdall placed sixth overall with a time of 16.83 in the meet.Â
Taylor Bass followed in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal record of her own after a 16th place finish with a time of 1:23.84.
In the steeple event, Jamaira Ross broke her new personal best, placing fourth overall and finishing with a time of 12:52.81.
Northwestern had two top 10 finishers in the high jump with Mariya Hamlin placing fifth and Asia Hicks in sixth. Hamlin led the way, breaking the new school record in the event with a mark of 1.60m. This mark has her ranked fifth overall in the conference for the high jump. Hicks set her new personal record in the event with a mark of 1.55m.
Hannah Betts led the way for the Rangers in the long jump with her new personal best with a mark of 5.47m and a top 10 finish with an eighth place finish. The long jump featured three personal bests in the event. Brianisha Rolling finished with a 5.25m, Olivia Sipos in the long jump, all had personal bests.
Olivia Sipos followed her personal best in the long jump with a new personal best in the triple jump at 10.45m. She was one of four with personal records in the event. Harmonie Hughes won the event with a first-place finish at 11.58m and a new personal record. Maryam Dianka placed fourth after her new best at 10.97m, and Sydney Fernandez with a personal best.
Emmalee Osborn was first for the Rangers in shot put at 10.80m, finishing in 13th place in the event.Â
Kaylan Swindle led the way with a final marking of 32.46m setting her new personal best in the event. Swindle led the Rangers in the hammer throw with a fourth-place finish and a mark of 41.76m.
In the Javelin the Rangers had four athletes set their personal bests in the event. Ashley Low set the new school record in javelin with a mark of 46.42m that sets her 13th in America for division II and first in the conference. Kaylan Swindle, Alexandra Kepley, and Ryleigh Long all set their new personal bests.
Northwestern is off until April 11th-12th for the next meet in Wichita, Kansas, hosted by Wichita State University.Â
