WICHITA, KANSAS / HASTINGS, NEBRASKA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Track and Field completed in two meets this weekend as part of the team traveled to Wichita, Kansas for the meet hosted by Wichita State University. The other part of the team traveled to Hastings, Nebraska for the meet hosted by Hastings College.
KT WOODMAN CLASSIC (Wichita State):
In the 100M Diamond, Hilton placed 15th overall for the Rangers in the event, one of two in the top 30 joined by Brianna Brantley with a time of 12.39. Hilton's time of 12.00 ranks third overall in the conference rankings. Brantley's time is also ranked in the top 10, ranked ninth.
Similar to the 100M, Hilton led the way for the Rangers in the 200M, placing 28th overall in the event with a time of 25.51. Hilton currently ranks 13th overall in the Great American Conference for the event. Krissalynn Henderson ran her best time this season with a 25.84, which moves her to 19th overall in the conference.
Taylor Bass placed 32nd overall in the meet in the 400M hurdles over the weekend with a final time of 1:21.63. Her time is ranked 18th overall in the conference.
Elisa Bernardez placed 57th overall in the past weekend meet with a time of 2:34.01.
Next for the Rangers in the 1500M Cadence, Long-Torres led the way for Northwestern,placing 53rd overall in the event with a time of 5:11.08.
In the steeplechase, the Rangers were led by Jamaira Ross, who placed 19th in the weekend meet with a time of 12:35.32. This mark ranks her 14th overall in the conference in the steeplechase.
Ava Miller was the top finisher for the Rangers in the 5000M event with a final time of 20:03.02, placing 41st overall in the event.
In the field events starting with the high jump Asia Hicks placed seventh overall with a mark of 1.50m followed by Mariya Hamlin. Hicks overall is currently ranked 13th in the conference.
Ashley Low led the Rangers in the javelin throw with an eighth-place finish with a best mark of 39.71m. Jordyn Tucker placed 21st with a mark of 35.80m. Both currently rank in the top three of the conference for the season. Low is ranked 1st, and Tucker is ranked 3rd in the Great American Conference.
Gabriella Hall led the way for the Rangers in the long jump with a fourth-place finish and a final mark of 5.64m. She sits sixth overall in the conference.
Next in the triple jump the Rangers were led by Maryam Dianka with a 14th place finish at a mark of 10.80m. Olivia Sipos was 17th with a 10.76m mark. Dianka now ranks sixth in the conference in the event and Sipos with a ranking of 10.
Both Northwestern relay teams finished eighth as the 4x100 relay finished with a time of 48.11. The 4x400 relay team ran a 4:06.95.
HASTINGS INVITE:
In Hastings, Nebraska, the Rangers competed in four different events at the Hastings Invite.
In the discus throw, Kaylan Swindle led the charge for the Rangers, placing 11th in the event at 31.47m. Swindle is ranked 25th overall in the event in the Great American Conference.
Swindle led the way in the hammer throw as well, finishing with a mark of 40.57m and placing 11th overall in the event.
Alexandra Kepley placed 10th overall in the javelin throw with a mark of 29.03m. Kepley is ranked 19th overall in the conference after her season best.
Emmalee Osborn in the shot put placed sixth overall in the event with a mark of 11.54m She is ranked 17th overall in the event in the conference this season.
