ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The NCAA announced Tuesday afternoon the National list for the 2025 NCAA Championship meet. Northwestern Oklahoma State will be represented in the Women's Track and Field as Ashley Low competes in the javelin.
The NCAA announced that Ashley Low has qualified and earned a bid into the NCAA Championship meet, which marks the first time in Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Track & Field history since joining Division II.
"We are extremely proud of Ashley Low getting to represent Ranger Women's Track and Field at nationals this year. It has been a successful year, and to have it end with Ashley making Nationals, someone who exemplifies what it means to be a Ranger, is a special way to cap off the season after she earned elite scholar athlete with a 4.0 GPA and conference champion," stated head coach Jill Lancaster.
Low placed first in three different meets in the Javelin Throw, including the conference meet, placing first overall. She earned First Team All-Conference in the Great American Conference.
Her best throw was at the OBU Invitational with a mark of 46.42m for one of two throws over the 40m mark, with a second best of 42.92m. Low currently ranks 17th overall in Division II in the Javelin event.
The Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held from May 22 to May 24 at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl in Pueblo, Colorado. Low will compete on Saturday, May 24th.
