Rangers Send Four Athletes to Austin for the Prestigious Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - For the first time in program history, the Ranger track team will have representation at the 98th annual Texas Relays.

Day one of the meet featured Travon Johns and Traevion White competing in the 400mH. White posted a time of 56.90 in his section of the race. Johns clocked a time of 59.35. Both athletes would also compete in the 100mH on day two. 

The second day of action for the Rangers opened with Johns and White taking the track for the 100mH. White crossed the line with a time of 15.17 and Johns followed clocking a 15.85. Next up was Harmonie Hughes and Trevon Hodge in the Triple Jump. Hodge jumped for a mark of 14.30m, which earned him an 8th place finish. This mark ranks him 41st in Division II for the Triple Jump. Hughes had a ranked jump as well with an 11.35. She is now ranked 52nd in Division II. 

After a historic day, the Rangers now direct their focus to West Texas A&M's Jo Meaker Classic next week.
