ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Soccer defeated the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian University Saturday afternoon by a score of 1-0 in the Rangers 2015 home opener.

Individual Leaders
  • Arlet Polack netted the first goal of the season for the Rangers as she led the team with a score, which proved to be the game winner. 
  • Goalkeeper Briana Legaspi finished the afternoon with 13 total saves. 
  • Alyssa Williams would lead the black-and-red in total shots with three. 
Game Changer
  • Northwestern scored the only goal of the match, a short chip shot by Polack over the Eagles goalkeeper's head at the 48:49 mark in the second half. 
  • Legaspi would come up huge for the Ranger defense as she would make an outstanding save on a penalty kick by Oklahoma Christian at the 49:29 mark in the second half.
News & Notes
  • This was the first win of the season for the Rangers, along with the first official NCAA Division II Women's Soccer victory as a full member. 
  • This also marks Craig Liddell's first win as a coach at the NCAA level and first as Northwestern's head women's soccer coach.
