ALVA, Oklahoma - The Rangers softball team gets set to host a three game series against the Reddies starting Friday afternoon into the evening. Friday will feature a single game with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 PM with a Saturday doubleheader to conclude the series at 11:00AM and 1:00 PM.
Northwestern (9-13, 3-8 GAC) enter Friday looking to snap a five game losing streak including three at home. Overall the Rangers are 4-3 at home.
Abby DeTar leads the team with a .414 average on the season as one of five hitters above .300 this year. She is joined by Lindsey McElroy (.373), Genesis Rodriguez (.368), Hannah Howell (.323) and Mackenzie Adams (.323). The Rangers have three players tied at the top in home runs in DeTar, Adams, and Jayden Solberg all with five home runs this season. DeTar led the team with 22 RBIs followed by Adams with 20 as the Rangers had two players over the 20 mark. The pitching staff is led by Hannah Howell starting 13 games this season with seven complete games including two shutouts with a team high of 65 innings of work, striking out 42 batters this season. Hannah Scoggin is second with eight starts made with two complete games in those starts with 39 innings pitched. Howell has six wins to lead the team followed by Victoria Vasquez with two wins this season. Hufford has one save on the year.

Henderson State comes into the weekend with a (6-22 overall and 3-8 GAC) after going 1-4 in their last five games. They come into the game on a one game losing streak and a five game conference losing streak. The Reddies are 1-6 away from Arkadelphia.
Madison Treutlein is the team's leading hitter at .386 as one of four players above the .300 mark. Justine Burch (.352), Abbie Moore (.333), and Brooke Johnson (.304). Moore leads the team with six home runs and 18 RBIs, also a team high. Johnson and Monreal are second with three home runs with 13 RBIs and 10 RBIs on the season.
In the circle for the Reddies Brooke Johnosn leads the team with a 3.57 ERA in seven starts made as she holds a 2-5 record. Erika Bittinger leads the team with three wins on the year with 46 innings pitched. They have four pitchers with at least six starts this season.
