Rangers Picked Twelfth in GAC Softball Preseason Poll

ALVA, Okla. - The Great American Conference has released the annual 2026 preseason coaches poll, voted on by the conference coaches. The Northwestern Rangers enter the year picked twelfth.

Southern Arkansas finished first in the poll with 119 points and nine first place votes, with Oklahoma Baptist in second with 106 points and two first place votes. Harding was the only other team to receive a first-place vote, as they finished with 103 points and one first-place vote.

Southern Nazarene came in fourth with 88 points, while Arkansas Tech and Southeastern tied for fifth with 79 points. Henderson State received 52 points in seventh, while Southwestern got eighth with 51.

Arkansas-Monticello finished in ninth with 37 points, while Ouachita Baptist received 35 points for 10th place. East Central got 11th place with 29 points, and Northwestern got 12th with 14 points.
