ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Director of Athletics, Andy Carter are pleased to introduce Craig Liddell as the third ever head coach of the women's soccer program.
"This has been a very difficult process, but one that has produced the perfect fit for our women's soccer program," Carter said. "There is no doubt in my mind that Craig will quickly move our program into a very high level of soccer and recognition. His energy, communication skills, and knowledge of the game really drew me to him as the next leader of our program."
Liddell has spent the last 14 years at Enid High School where he coached both of the men's and women's squads as well as taught Biology.
The Scotland native came to the United States to play college soccer and further his education, and started that process at Phillips University, and completed his collegiate career at California Baptist where he played Center Back as well as Midfield for the Lancers.

Following his playing days at CBU, Liddell immediately went into coaching, starting in the summer of 2000, where he fully coordinated Puma and Pride soccer camps.
In January 2001 he took over as the Head Soccer Coach of both the Pacers and Plainsmen soccer teams at Enid High, after which he became the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Enid Soccer Club and the competitive division of Pumas and Pride programs in 2002.
Liddell earned many awards as the soccer coach for Enid as he was named the 2009 & 2011 State Coach of the Year for the National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) as well as the Regional Coach of the year in 2009.
In 2011, Liddell had the privilege of coaching the 6A Boys Soccer All-State team, and had the same honor for the 6A Girls All-State Soccer team in 2014.
In his 14 years at EHS, he was named Enid High School's Teacher of the Year twice, claiming the honor in 2009 and 2014.
