Game Changer
  • Henderson State controlled the pace of this match-up from beginning to end as they were able to hold the Rangers to only one hit in the game.

Leading Off - Game Two
Score: Henderson State 1 - Northwestern 2
Records: HSU (23-21, 14-18 GAC) - NW (9-31, 7-23 GAC)

At The Dish

  • Peyton Garrett tacked on the go ahead RBI for the Rangers as well as she finished the contest hitting 1-for-3 with one double.

  • Madison Garza threw 1.2 innings in relief for the black-and-red adding one strikeout to her stat line and allowed zero runs and zero hits to cap off her second save of the season.

Game Changer
  • The key factor in this game was total runners left on base as each team's stat line told a different story with the Rangers only leaving four runners on, compared to the Reddies 10 total runners left stranded.
  • Despite allowing a solo homerun in the top of the first inning, Northwestern was able to answer right back in the bottom half of the inning with a Haya solo shot to even things up. Garrett's double in the bottom of the fourth inning to bring in McGraw was all the Rangers needed to close out game two at 2-1 over HSU.
