ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball was taken down in the first of two games Saturday afternoon by Great American Conference opponent Henderson State by a final score of 6-0.
At The Dish
- Madison McGraw recorded a multi-hit game in the first match-up as she went 2-for-3 with one double.
- Seven other Rangers each contributed one hit a piece in the contest as well as the black-and-red finished with nine total.
The K Zone
- Karly Murray started the day in the circle and finished going 5.1 total innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and was able to record two strikeouts.
- Madison Garza provided 1.2 innings of relief as she gave up two earned runs, three hits, and struck out two batters.
Game Changer
- Northwestern struggled to move runners around the bases as they left a total of seven runners on, compared to Henderson State's five.
- The Reddies scored all six runs in the final two innings of play as they were able to produce base clearing hits in each to seal the victory at 6-0.

ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball was defeated in the second game of the doubleheader against Henderson State Saturday afternoon by a final score of 7-4.
At The Dish
The K Zone
- Madison Garza started in the circle for Northwestern and threw a total of 5.0 innings allowing seven hits, three earned runs, and struck out seven total opposing batters.
- Karly Murray came in on relief to throw 2.0 innings in the contest giving up only two earned runs on three hits and was able to record two strikeouts.
Game Changer
- Northwestern started off this match-up with a 4-1 lead over the Reddies through the first three innings after multiple McGraw doubles helped give the home team the early edge.
- Henderson State battled back however as they were able to take over the final game of the series through explosive offense to claim the win over the Rangers, 7-4.
On Deck
Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball will next host GAC opponent and arch rival Southwestern Oklahoma State, Tuesday April 12, as a part of a doubleheader against the Bulldogs starting at 2 p.m. at the Alva Rec Complex.
