Massingale and Chase Earn GAC Player of the Week Honors

ALVA, OKLAHOMA- Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Soccer earned their third straight GAC player of the week award. This week goalkeeper Angel Chase and Forward Carlie Massingale won goalkeeper and offensive player of the week following two games this week. Rangers lost to Midwestern State before responding with a 4-0 win over New Mexico Highlands the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Massingale won offensive player of the week following a three goal performance against New Mexico Highlands for her first career hat trick at the collegiate level. Her three goals helped lead to a 4-0 victory over the Cowgirls. She played in 56 minutes in the win over New Mexico Highlands along with 36 minutes against Midwestern State. She finished with six points on the week scoring three goals on three shots.

Junior Angel Chase earned goalkeeper of the week following two appearances. She played twenty minutes against Midwestern State without allowing a goal saving the only shot she faced. This was before a five save performance not allowing a goal for her and the Rangers first shutout of the season.

Northwestern will return to action on Friday September 16th against Southwestern Oklahoma State as the Rangers open conference play against the Bulldogs.
