MCPHERSON, KANSAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Cross Country was in Kansas this weekend for the final meet before the Great American Conference Championships.
At the Carol Swenson Invite hosted by McPherson College, the Rangers placed second overall paced by Jamaira Ross who won the meet overall placing first.
The Rangers placed second with a score of 36 only behind Tabor College finishing with 30 followed by Friends and York.
Jamaira Ross led the way for the Rangers running the meet in 19:48.94 which was good for first place. Here time on Saturday is Ross's new personal record in the 5k. She was one of three Rangers in the top 10 and one of two in the top five.
Ross was joined in the top five by Ava Miller who also ran her personal record on Saturday after running the meet in 20:21.79 for her season best. Miller finished fourth overall in the meet. Cadence Long-Torres finished the meet ninth overall running the 5K in 20:43.47
Next for the Rangers was Elisa Bernardez placing 17th overall in the meet with a time of 21:53.21. Reina Gonzales was 22nd overall in the meet as the next Ranger running the 5K in a total time of 22:29.66.
Northwestern had two more runners placing in the top 30 first in Elizabeth Dorado-Barrera running the meet in a time of 23:05.31 placing 28th in the meet. Dorado-Barrera's time on Saturday was her new season best. Azucena Carrillo placed 29th overall in the meet running with a time of 23:11.16 which is good for Carillo's new PR for the 5K.
Angelica Robledo-Gonzalez finished the meet on Saturday 41st overall with a time of 25:58.0, followed by Claire Dodds with a time of 27:51.09 finishing 44th overall in the meet for her new PR. Emma Dodd placed 45th in the meet with a time of 28:45.60.
The Rangers next meet will be on October 26th in Ada, Oklahoma hosted by East Central University for the Great American Conference Championship meet.
