SAN ANGELO, Texas – Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball came up short in their first match-up of the day against Texas A&M - International Saturday afternoon by a final score of 11-7.

At The Dish

The K Zone
  • Jalena Arthur started in the circle for the Rangers as she went 2.1 innings giving up seven hits, two earned runs, and striking out one batter.
  • Brittany Olender made the long relief appearence as she threw 3.1 total innings giving up two earned runs on six hits, and struck out one as well.
  • Finally Madison Garza entered the game to throw 0.1 innings and facing two hitters.

Game Changer
  • A key stat in this contest was overall batting average with runners on base between the Dustdevils and the Rangers as A&M - International finished hitting .455 compared to Northwestern's .238.

SAN ANGELO, Texas – Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball was defeated in their second match-up of the day by the Rambelles of Angelo State University, 12-7.

At The Dish
  • Leading the Rangers at the plate in the game was Lacey Hudson who was able to go 3-for-4 during the afternoon with one homerun, one double, two runs scored, and one RBI. 
  • Jordan Haya posted a solid stat line hitting as well going 2-for-4 with one homerun, one run scored, and two RBIs. 
  • Stephanie Couser continued her offensive productive at bat also with a 1-for-4 performance and two RBIs. 
     
The K Zone
  • Karly Murray started the game in the circle for the black-and-red and went 2.0 total innings giving up three earned runs on four hits while striking out two.
  • Jalena Arthur came in on relief, pitching a total of 1.2 innings as she gave up zero earned runs, three hits and struck out one.
  • Erin Norrie and Madison Garza each put in relief appearences in this contest as well, totaling the final 2.1 innings.

Game Changer
  • Overall batting with runners on was again a weakness for the Rangers in this match-up as Northwestern hit just .188 compared to Angelo State hitting .450 with runners on.

Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball will continue their road campaign next to elo, Texas as they will take on Missouri S&T and Missouri - St. Louis each on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 11:00 a.m. / 5:00 p.m.
